“To ensure the opportunity to make choices regarding participation in society and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.”

Public policy is the cornerstone of the work by the Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities (KCDD). Individual staff members, Council members, and allied organizations monitor the quality of care on the local level, monitor legislation that may impact people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) on the state and federal levels and seek to positively impact the financial support and budgets provided for the I/DD community.

KCDD encourages everyone involved in the disability community to work together to create a unified and collective call to action to promote disability agendas in the halls of Congress, the state legislature and in our local schools and communities.

To get involved and become an advocate for the movement, contact the KCDD’s staff member involved in your specific area of interest or by calling 785-296-2608 or emailing Charline Cobbs at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
