Emili Folster

Senior Administrative Assistant

Emili serves as Senior Administrative Assistant for KCDD. Emili graduated from Washburn University with a minor in music and received both a Bachelor of Integrated Studies and an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree. While employed as an OTA, Emili had the opportunity to offer a person-centered approach and consider the unique needs, goals, and backgrounds of each patient she encountered. As she continued to help individuals overcome both physical and mental barriers, Emili realized that she desired to serve as an advocate in some way and her passion for advocacy would continue to grow even after her time as an OTA concluded.

In addition to her work at KCDD, Emili serves as a Case Manager and Job Coach for individuals with both mental and physical barriers and is beyond grateful for the resulting relationships and experiences. She is very passionate about people and hopes that everyone she meets feels treasured, understood, and valued. Emili is thankful for the privilege to serve alongside the Council and step into her role as an advocate in a new capacity.
