Supported Decision Making Event in El Dorado, KS

Description

“Supported Decision Making: A Guardianship Alternative to Consider”

October 5, 2018

El Dorado, KS

Supported Decision Making (SDM) lets people with disabilities make their own life decisions with support from their friends, family and support workers. It is an alternative to guardianship. Guardians make decisions for people. Supported decision-making allows people to make their own decisions.

Supported decision-making helps independence and self-rule. Studies show that more independence means better employment, community living,  friends, health and safety.
